  • Aim for accomplishments rather than perfection.
I am a person who puts a lot of pressure on myself, and when I don't succeed to my full potential I get angry/down. For example I am a very competitive golfer, and it's one of the hardest sports in the world so their is a lot of room for mistakes. The thing is, I used to not practice enough, and then when I play I am not amazing so I get angry. I have to teach myself that before I start becoming greater at anything I must practice/repetition before expecting to be a pro.

  • Take pride in your opinions and ideas.

When it comes to school and education in High School, I don't feel very confident with all the people around me with great GPA's or Grades. With everyone in our grade that is extremely smart I don't lie to raise my hand or volunteer in group activities. For example I was in a group activity the other with really smart people, so I stayed quiet and silent because I didn't want to embarrass myself with a wrong answer.

  • View mistakes as learning opportunities.

Everyone makes mistakes, everyday I do something that isn't 100% great, but I try my best to learn from it. Linking both of my other writing topics, my opinions, and accomplishments. If I improve both of those two topics I could greatly improve on learning from mistakes. If I volunteer more in groups I could learn to study more often and pay very close attention. For perfection I need to learn from what I do wrong to improve to get closer to becoming a stronger person.
